C'mon guys!

New to this site. LOVE it! It has taken a massive weight off my shoulders, as I know feel I am part of an understanding and supportive community.

God bless who decided to start this site!

Herpes is not spoken of. Its doesn’t kill you, it doesn’t effect your health. So no one seems to think that it is important to educate the public about it.

It is annoying, it can be painful, and it has a terrible stigma

it makes me so sad, and a little angry, to read members profiles that say things like "I have been in hiding for while" or "I have been avoiding getting close to anyone" etc.

It is so upsetting that most of us are made to feel that way. Obviously
I can sympathies and I get it. But come on people! Get out there! .If someone doesn’t like you because you have a virus that annoys your private bits every now and then, they are NOT worth it! How many people walk around with herpes on their mouths? They still have no problems getting a partner. (And there are no condoms for mouths!)

You should be valued for the person that you are. I am so thankful that this site is here to bring us all some confidence from within.

Admin: What a great note! Thanks kitten987! It's amazing how a little virus can make us lose our sense of self-worth. We are still the same people we were before the virus and it doesn't define who we are. Stay positive everyone :)
